ASK PCC gift aid delcaration 2018

resourcing our future

ways to give

We rely on our church family to support our work, through a variety of means.

There are many ways to give to the work of All Saints, Kesgrave – in time, skills, and financial resources.

To donate your time, skills and energy to the church, please contact Robin directly (see our ‘Contact Us’ page).

The following documents provide further information on donating funds (both Regular Giving, known as ‘Stewardship’, and Occasional Giving).

TextGiving is now “live” for All Saints Kesgrave!

As fewer and fewer people carry cash, the Church of England has acknowledged that different ways of “giving” need to be embraced. The Cathedral in Bury St Edmunds is one of several, for instance, that now has a “Tap here” pay station available, as well as the more traditional glass-sided box for notes and coins.

Here at Kesgrave we have just launched TextGiving (via JustGiving).

The scheme allows donors to choose £1, £2, £3, £4, £5 or £10

Text      KESG33 £3 to 70070   to give £3

KESG33 £5 to 70070    to give £5 and so on

There is also the option to Gift Aid your chosen amount via the link sent in the acknowledgement text.

(Vodafone sponsor the TextGiving so there is no administrative charges for the church to pay; donors pay their chosen donation plus the cost of the text where relevant)

This is not intended to replace regular giving but does give visitors or occasional worshippers the chance to contribute in this way.

I am interested in any feedback on this, because this is just the first step in a more extensive exploration of contactless or chip + pin use for church giving.

Give as You Live- for free!

For anyone that performs web-searchers or shops online from Amazon, eBay, John Lewis, Tesco, Sainsbury’s and many other subscribing retailers, there’s a new way you can give more to All Saints Church without it costing you a penny! Simply register with and perform your web searches or shop via their page. 1%-1.5% of the value of purchases then come to All Saints, and every few web searches raise 1p (it soon adds up!). This works on computers or smart-phones.

When choosing your Charity, we suggest you choose our “Kesgrave Church of England Charity”, which means that funds can be used for regular costs such as youthworker and parish administrator. If you choose instead the “Parish Trust” the money instead goes into a permanent endowment where only the interest can be used by All Saints.

If you use the web please give this a try- it’s so easy and every little makes a difference! Many thanks for your help, Sally Wainman Funding Officer.

Annual Sponsored Bike Ride

Saturday 8th September 2018, 9am to 5pm

This is a great opportunity to raise money for our church and visit other historic churches in the area, some of which are normally closed.

The idea is you make up a route between as many churches as you like and then have friends and family sponsor you to complete your journey by cycling or walking. Half the sponsorship money you raise comes straight back to ASK and the rest is given to Suffolk Historic Churches Trust who assist local churches who are facing redundancy and closure. Sponsorship can now be arranged on to make raising money easier. There are over 40 churches taking part in Ipswich so if you are interested then contact me for a sponsorship form and more information.

If you are not up to taking part please consider if you would be available for an hour on the day to welcome cyclists, sign their forms and offer them refreshments. If so I would be grateful if you could sign the form in the church porch when this becomes available later in the year.

Any questions, catch me in church or contact me on 01473 333435,
